Matt's Camper

Matt dropped off this newly restored van with a list of work he wanted doing to finish it off.

The biggest job was to line the whole inside with plywood and sound deadening, so that Matt had something to which he could glue his carpet. I also fitted a full wooden headliner.

While Matt’s van was in the workshop, I fitted a towbar and a simple immobilisation system. As I was also doing some electrical work, I wired in a stereo system and additional fusebox to power Matt’s camping equipment.

The van drove well but had a problem with gear shifting, so I replaced all the bushes in the linkage and adjusted it to rectify the fault.

The old window rubbers had been used when the van was restored and these let the van down visually. I fitted new rubbers that Matt had purchased from Just Kampers.
